JEFF LEED AND AL PACKER FORD WEST

This Trustee Corner highlights Al Packer Ford West and Jeff Leed, its General Sales Manager. Leed has been with this major automobile and truck dealership since 1993, first as its perennial sales leader, than Sales Manager and, for the last two years, in his current senior management capacity.

Leed has been with Al Packer Ford West for 15 years of its 21 year history, serving in his present capacity for the last two years. He is responsible for all operations of the Sales Department at the regional dealership, including new and used vehicle sales, financing and all facets of customer satisfaction. He prides himself on being the customer’s “first phone call” in the event of any issue involving any department.

Al Packer Ford West is extremely active in community affairs. A dealership that is part of a venerable family corporation based in Maryland with just three “stores,” it operates quite independently.

The mix of sales reflects the demographics of the western communities where Al Packer Ford West has been doing business since the mid 1980s. Though the firm carries a well-stocked diversified inventory, most vehicles sold there are trucks and SUVs.

The Packer family had remarkable foresight when it decided to locate this facility in a primarily agricultural area more than 20 years ago, anticipating major growth in the western communities of Palm Beach County.  This vision continues to realized-one can simply sit in the Southern Blvd showroom and witness the area's activity and traffic flow on the newly expanded east-west highway.  The firm is in the hub of a quickly growing, highly sought demographic.

Jeff Leed and his employer are industry and community leaders.  Al Packer Ford West has won the coveted President's Award from Ford Motor Company on multiple occasions, and is being considered again this year.  The award is based upon excellence in both sales and customer satisfaction and is given to a very limited number of dealers nationally.  Further, the dealership consistently achieves Ford’s highest customer loyalty levels.

Jeff is a Past president and active member of a Western Communities Business Associates Inc.  (WCBA).  He is a leader in the Ford Truck Club, a major industry association comprised of Ford dealer representatives.  The dealership is deeply involved in area youth programs such as the Wellington Recreation Center, Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center, Acreage Soccer, American Youth Soccer Organization and it posts banners around the perimeter fences at many area public schools.  As regular readers know, it has been a major supporter of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce for many years.

Finally, I am pleased to point out the family ties of Jeff Leed with our Chamber.  He is married to our Membership Director, Debi Leed.  The couple has two adult children, Jesse and Kimberly, and lives in Wellington.
