Giddings honored with Chairman's Choice Award

For more than two years Susan Giddings has dreamed of a new space for the Palms West Chamber of Commerce and she's worked hard to make that dream a reality. Giddings is the Vice President and a Principal of O'Dell Land Development Consultants and the chamber's vice- chairman of economic development. She has been instrumental in moving the permitting process forward for the new Palms West Chamber of Commerce headquarters.  Her help has been invaluable and has earned her the Chairman's Choice Award from the Palms West Chamber. Each year the chamber's chairman of the board of directors recognizes a member for their exemplary leadership and service in furthering the chamber's mission.  Immediate past chair John Spillane chose Giddings as her help in finalizing the chamber's lease will make it possible to see a new chamber building on Southern Boulevard before the year's end.

"Susan's contributions over the past year have been an integral part of our finalizing our 30 year lease with Palm Beach County, expediting our builder contracts, providing needed documentation for our loan, and moving us quickly through the permitting phase of the building process," said Jaene Miranda, CEO of the Palms West Chamber.  "I am very pleased with John Spillane's selection and honored to have such a wonderful volunteer as part of our board of directors."

Giddings accepted the Chairman's Choice award at the recent annual recognition luncheon where she thanked the board and staff for their hard work in helping support the future chamber building.

"This will put the chamber more in the forefront of the community. It's a great opportunity for the community to get involved in the building and feel like they've had a part of the growth of the chamber," said Giddings.
