The Palms West Chamber of Commerce is a leadership organization that passionately serves Central Palm Beach County by advocating for a healthy business environment, providing outstanding member services, benefits, education, and information, thereby enhancing the quality of life in the community.

Executive Director Jaene Miranda Has Big Goals for the Palms West Chamber

The executive director of the Palms West Chamber of Commerce is Jaene Miranda, who together with her husband Ron also owns and operates Nicole’s Village Tavern on South Shore Boulevard in Wellington. Holding a degree in communication with a minor in marketing from the University of Miami, Miranda came to the chamber following a career that included work for Miller Brewing Company, Kraft Bakery Companies, Rexall Sundown and, on the non-profit side of the coin, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

“If you look at the business development and marketing roles I’ve played, there’s really not a lot of difference between the corporate and the non-profit worlds,” Miranda said. “You still have a product to sell. At the Boys and Girls Clubs, instead of selling beer or cake or a vitamin product, I was selling the safety of children. Marketing is all about positioning your brand. The key to a strong message and to eventual success is figuring out the benefit we have to offer to the end user. I loved my years at the Boys and Girls Clubs because the ‘sell’ had more passion to it, more heart involved, lots of tears.”

Taking her education, her corporate training and the same passion she brought to the Boys & Girls Clubs, Miranda has big plans for her most recent endeavor, the Palms West Chamber of Commerce.

“My ultimate goal is to be the information source for individuals who are looking to open a business in the western communities,” Miranda said. “I would love it if entrepreneurs were directed to come and talk to us before they open their doors. A lot about owning a business is knowing where to locate it. For some, there are things they need to understand about shopping patterns that are critical to the success of their business. We could also advise potential businesses on the categories that are underdeveloped. When one is brave enough to go into a business, they have a true belief that they will succeed where maybe others have failed. Unfortunately, poor information or no information may doom a business to failure.”
